Mom and the kids came to NYC for the weekend!
One of the big things we did was on Saturday, when we decided to go on a TV/Movie tour of the city, which was actually pretty fun!
A couple of sights we saw:

The Huxtable House

The “Friends” Appartment

Ghostbusters!
Plenty more photos, but too many to blog!

My brother is quite the character.
But Daniel Radcliff certainly took the cake! Such an incredible show, such an amazing performance, such a great cast!! Love, love, love.

Star struck.

Thanks to Twitter, I heard that Manhattanhenge, or Manhattan Solstice as it is sometimes referred to as, was occurring today and tomorrow. But considering I’d had a really slow day at work, I knew I just had to make something of today, so I headed back down to Grand Central at exactly 8:25pm to witness this rare, semiannual occurrence. Quite a sight to see.
If you want to learn more about the Manhattanhenge, read about it here.
It’s 7/11, which means it’s 7 Eleven’s Free Slurpee Day! Yay!
False. The 7 Eleven somewhat near Carat’s machines were all broken.

In an attempt to save the afternoon, another intern and I, who coincidentally lives a few doors down from me, decided to witness the mania that was the Harry Potter premier at the Lincoln Center.
No, we did not see any stars, but we saw many crazy fans and THE red carpet. Which was a big first for me.
Top it off with a trip to Magnolia Bakery and a new, dramatic episode of The Bachelorette, and call it a Monday!
We are without A/C until at least Monday. Open to more suggestions :)
#16: Go to the Strand and try to find a book.
So even though I didn’t end up finding a book, I will surely go back, because they have EVERY book under the sun! 18 miles of books (as they claim, although it feels like hundreds) is pretty overwhelming, but in a world of 140 characters or less, it’s refreshing to see so many new ideas and stories in miles and miles of books with so many people eager to read them.
